Course Description

This program is targeted to:

• candidates who have specific industry expertise and are or will be facilitating group-based sessions or individual coaching sessions in a range of specialised, technical, business, finance or other sector qualifications, short-courses, skill sets; or workshops AND/OR
• candidates who will be conducting competency-based assessment in a range of contexts.

Ideal for

Teachers / Lecturers / Trainers in public and private Vocational Education and Training (VET) organisations in permanent full-time, part-time or casual positions

Training and Employment Pathways

 This qualification can be completed:

• Through achievement of a specific industry qualification AND/OR
• Extensive vocational experience in an industry with the ability to demonstrate ability to undertake this qualification

The Trainer/Assessor will advise participants of employment options and articulation into higher levels of training during the delivery of this program.  This includes, upon achieving the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, the option of undertaking the Diploma of Training and Assessment.

Course Structure

Candidates must complete a  total of 14units - 12 core units: 12 and 2 elective units. (Refer to online brochure for full details).

 

Participants will learn how to become a competent workplace trainer by developing their skills in:

• Workplace training and assessing
• Group training
• One-on-one training
• Developing training programs
• Unpacking Nationally Accredited Training Packages
• Adult learning styles and theories
• Safety within the learning environment

This program is offered in a flexible delivery format. This may take the form of Training and Assessment, On-line learning, Recognition of Prior Learning, Assessment Only or a mix of all of the above.

Full place fee: $1600.00

Funded place with concession: $120.00

Recognition of Prior Learning as a standalone service: $100.00 per unit

Materials Fee: Hardcopy printed materials $25.00 per unit
